The GAO released a report released September 25, recommending that oversight of clinical investigators be improvement. The report, entitled "Oversight of Clinical Investigators:  Action Needed to Improve Timeliness and Enhance Scope of FDA's Debarment and Disqualification Processes for Medical Product Investigators" is numbered  GAO-09-807 and is accessible as a PDF file here.
